Mapping shapes understanding of human dwelling in space. This practice frames political and structural realities of individuals who are locating home, curating belonging, cultivating space. Restriction emphasizes the contained nature of cartography as racialized practice. Seattle’s ongoing political making and remaking of city is exposed through tracing abstracted lines that reinforce geographies of control.
